Hello All,
I regret to inform you that Jerry passed away at home on
Friday, Sept. 19. Probably because of Rosh Hashona, Jerry's death was not
reported until today and the funeral services were also held this morning.
So, to my best knowledge, none of his fellow board members were able to make the
service.
Over the past few years, Jerry has made an indelible
impression on all of us, His presentations, preparation of the various
luncheon albums, his work on "The Western Union Story", his production of
"Western Union Time" and his development of the replica WU clock are some
examples of how he threw himself into working with the board and all of you to
bring some of the glorious WU history to life. Jerry was 76 years old and
the obituary reported that he died at home with his family by his side. I
don't know what happened to Jerry but he seemed healthy the last time I
talked to him a couple of weeks ago and he was preparing to go to Asia on one of
his other many activities.
Jerry was one of the most alive
people I ever knew and I will miss him. If you would like any more
information just let me know.
