Where these pages come from. We are a group of ex-microwave maintainers that worked the eastern section of the transcontinental microwave system and other Western Union employees. The eastern microwave section ran from Boston MA, to a junction station called Samaria, Ohio. Our major concern is that there is no formal "Western Union Museum", and a lot of the historic equipment and other artifacts will therefore be lost as they are handed down to the younger members of the ex-employee's family. In many cases this has already happened. At present this plan is in its formative stage and we need a great deal of help from ex-employees with suggestions and ideas on how we may make this happen. Shortly, we will be contacting various companies to see if they will sponsor our museum and provide space for us. The RWUEA and the AUTODIN websites as you know are doing an excellent job in keeping us informed. We feel we can also add to this in our unique way through our website. We intend to work closely with them so there are a minimum of duplications and yet provide a "soapbox" for our users. We also hope to assemble a large gallary of photographs, documents, artifacts and knowledge, for present and future historians and others who have an interest in learning of this great company.
